Head Grower
(Full time/Permanent)
The Head Grower is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day growing operation, with a primary focus on annuals. This person will play a key role in determining crop timing, maintaining plant quality, managing greenhouse conditions, and ensuring that our plants are healthy, full, and ready for customers when they need them.

This is a hands-on position for someone with plant-growing experience, a passion for horticulture, a willingness to learn and can confidently take ownership of the growing operation.
Responsibilities
This position requires flexibility to work up to 6 days per week during peak growing season, including weekends, as needed to maintain crop health and meet production deadlines. Candidates must be comfortable with a seasonal schedule that may require additional days and hours during our busiest periods.

Oversee the growing, care, and quality of annuals and select perennials throughout the production season.

Plan and coordinate crop production to ensure plants are healthy, thriving, and ready for key selling periods.

Monitor greenhouse conditions and adjust growing practices as needed.

Identify and address plant health concerns, including pests, diseases, and nutrient issues.

Coordinate planting, transplanting, spacing, and general crop maintenance.

Support and guide greenhouse staff in daily growing practices and plant care.

Help manage growing supplies, inventory, and production schedules.

Work closely with management to support greenhouse operations and seasonal goals.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient growing environment.

Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and hardworking team.
